Connecting Sympl to a channel via an API connection provides a real-time, two-way integration that syncs bookings, rates, availability, and other data seamlessly between the platforms. In contrast, an iCal connection is a simpler, calendar-based synchronization that updates availability by importing and exporting calendar links, but it lacks the comprehensive data exchange and speed of an API connection.
